The Bay Team were proud to take part in the Caton Gala 2015, held on the 13th June 2015 it's a fabulous day out for all the family. Darren Milby broadcasted his lunchtime show LIVE from the event and we even brought Bay Bear along to join in the fun on the Bay Team Ranger Truck.

This year Sponsored by Bay Vets and The Bay Caton Gala is a traditional village festival which takes place on the Station Hotel sports field on the second Saturday of June each year. It is a value for money fun day out for all the family, The day starts at 11.30 with the floats leaving the top of Brookhouse village, arriving at the main field in Caton at 12.00 noon where the Gala fun & attractions will commence. The crowning of the Gala Queen is then followed by children’s races, music and entertainment.

Caton Gala is over 100 years old & attracts thousands of people each year from the Caton, Brookhouse & Lune Valley community and further afield.

Star attractions this year were Dingle Fingle Comedy Car Act, Birds of Prey Display Ltd with Ben Potter, Batala Drummers, Croix du Nord, Classic Motorcycle Displays and Windmill race

The Caton Gala Queen was Jessie Connelly and her attendants were Aleisha Peck and Georgia Oldfield. The Caton Gala page boy was Haden Connelly.

This years theme has been chosen as 'Animals' and principal sponsor for 2015 will be Bay Vets. This is to coincide with the opening of their new veterinary surgery on Hornby Road.

One of the aims of the gala is to support local good causes and Caton Gala are pleased to announce that in conjunction with other local bodies they have raised enough funds and installed a defibrillator for emergency use within the locality.
