Cumbria Coined As 'Hospitality Hub' Ahead Of North West Trade Show

A brand new show for businesses in - or supporting the hospitality industry, is coming to Cumbria in the new year.

The North West Hospitality Show takes place at J36 Auction Centre in Crooklands on February 21st and 22nd 2018.

It will welcome a wide range of exhibitors from across the North of England as well as new and established local businesses such as Harrison Spinks.

In addition to the broad range of exhibitors promoting their trade, visitors will have the opportunity to attend a selection of workshops and seminars, hosted by industry experts.

The show has been created and organised by Lake District guesthouse owner and trade show expert Nick Hood (pictured), who said: “The response has already been overwhelming, whilst I expected take up within Cumbria and the Lake District to be strong, I must admit I’ve been astonished by the extremely positive response from exhibitors from across the North.

"Clearly there has been a need for a show of this breadth. I’m very proud of the quality and innovation of the exhibitors, equally the speakers and workshops which centre around key industry figures are already proving popular.

"Those attending and exhibiting are in for a refreshing change.

“The collaboration of different agencies is vital to the show’s appeal as it broadens the offering for exhibitors and visitors, it is so important that tourism businesses across the North take advantage of the opportunities being afforded right now, not least the World Heritage status the Lake District has recently won.

"The north is expected to attract bigger numbers than ever and so it’s vital all of us in the area and beyond are ready for to make the most of this.

"Even the location reflects the outward ethos of the North West Hospitality Show as Junction 36 is uniquely positioned as a gateway to Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancashire.

"All these people working together means a greater chance of success and I’m very grateful to all those who have supported the show in this first year.”

The two day show is free to attend and visitors need simply register here. Exhibition space is also available and can be secured here.

Organisers add that the show should not be confused with the similarly-named Lakes Hospitality Trade Show, which takes place at the same venue in March 2018, which is a completely separate event.
