The UK's largest home fragrance company - based in Lindal, has teamed up with a Furness artist to produce a range that it says "encapsulates the essence" of the Lake District.
Wax Lyrical have called upon the talents of 26 year old Fiona Taylor, who has designed 'The Lakes Collection'.
Born and raised in Barrow and with a background in fine art, Fiona completed a degree in drawing and image making at University of Central Lancashire before taking up her role as a designer for the business in 2013.
Wax Lyrical has grown exponentially since their days as a small importing company back in the 1980's, working out of a garage on the edge of Morecambe Bay.
Now, they now export their products to more than 40 countries around the world.
The company says the partnership with Fiona is set to provide people around the world with an opportunity to own a sense of the area's heritage.
Fiona said: “My love of nature and wildlife has driven my inspiration for the new Lakes Collection. Each fragrance has a unique story to tell about the local landscape. For example, the inspiration behind the Fells fragrance was the dramatic mountain of Helvellyn.
"After spending weeks sketching the designs and worrying over every detail, it’s so rewarding to finally see the range complete and on the shelves not only here in the Lakes at shops such as Love the Lakes in Bowness, but across the UK".
“I’m so proud of the collection," Fiona added.
