A luxury cruise liner's recruitment team has been telling students on Lancaster & Morecambe College's Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy course about career opportunities at sea.
Steiner Cruises told students that the company is “always looking for bright, talented, motivated people to join the team" of the many roles relating to hairdressing and beauty therapy with the company.
Steiner employs massage and beauty therapists, fitness instructors, physicians, acupuncturists, hairdressers, and nail technicians for their spas on-board luxury cruise ships which sail all over the world.
Speaking after the event at the LMC Business & Conference Centre, Programme Area Manager, Zoe Petrou said: "This fantastic opportunity enabled our students to see some of the many career options open to them.
"They were introduced to the expectations of the employer, the opportunities to learn and progress and what it is really like to work on board a luxury cruise liner.
"Many of the students expressed a keen interest in pursuing this form of employment after completing their course.
"It certainly inspired and motivated our future hairdressers and beauty therapists.”
Another open evening is being held at the college on Wednesday 15th November, 4.30-7.00pm.
